Deposit audited statements on Qawaem

Article 17 of the Companies Law requires a company to prepare financial statements at the end of each financial year, under the accounting standards adopted in the Kingdom, and to deposit them within six months of the year-end, as the regulations specify. Article 4 of the executive regulations requires that deposit, and the auditor’s report where there is one, through the Qawaem programme. Article 262 punishes a failure to prepare those statements, or to deposit them as the law requires, with a fine of not more than SAR 500,000. The Ministry of Commerce may also send a warning when the deposit is late. ISZ Global does not upload the file and does not sign the audit.

A Saudi statutory audit opinion is signed by a firm and partner licensed by the Saudi Organization for Chartered and Professional Accountants. The auditor should not be the person who keeps the books, and should not be the firm that prepares the Zakat or income-tax return for the same entity.
